Save the date, September 2nd, 2011 to attend the 33rd Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBC 2011), at the Boston Marriott Copley Place Hotel in Boston, MA. Jean-Claude Saghbini, Chief Technology Officer of WaveMark, will be presenting a talk on: "A Systems-Thinking Approach to Inventory Management of Medical Devices with RFID", from 13:45 to 14:30 EST. This talk is part of a workshop on "The Integrated Patient Care Environment: Device Connectivity, EMR Integrated Patient Data, Patient Centric Identification & Association and Embedded RTLS / RFID Technologies."

Jean-Claude Saghbini, Chief Technology Officer of WaveMark, is scheduled to give two presentations for the MIT SDM Systems Thinking Webinar Series on September 19 and 26, 2011 - one on tracking medical devices in the healthcare supply chain, and one on using the system approach to design and implement a medical device tracking system. http://sdm.mit.edu/news/news_articles/saghbini-medical-devices/saghbini-medical-devices.html More Details will be posted at sdm.mit.edu. Prior to joining WaveMark, Jean-Claude was architect and manager of software development at EMC, where he built an organization of 25 software developers. Before EMC, Jean-Claude worked on digital imaging products at Polaroid. During his tenure, he had a unique multidisciplinary role in mechanical engineering, software development, and systems integration. Jean-Claude was more recently involved with the inception of Fantasy Seats, a venture aiming at creating a futures market for sporting events. Jean-Claude holds a Masters of Science in engineering and management from the Sloan School of Management and Engineering Systems Division at MIT. He also holds a Masters of Science in mechanical engineering from MIT, and a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
